The EMKA Foundation partners with CoRSU Hospital as it holds its Second Annual Walk for Children with Disabilities and Raising Support for Life-Changing Care.
The sponsorship comes in form of a partnership with CoRSU Hospital as it gears towards its scheduled CoRSU Walk 25 fundraiser meant to raise funds that will go directly towards providing corrective surgeries, prosthetic and orthotic devices, and rehabilitation services for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Additionally, the proceeds will support the establishment of a new specialised theatre at CoRSU to expand surgical capacity and reduce waiting times for critical operations.
The EMKA Foundation’s goal being “Let Us Come Together To Make a Difference” and mission being to serve children, youth and families through medical, food and educational care, where hearts are healed, hope is nurtured, and dreams are achieved, the CoRSU Walk 25 purely aligns with the Foundation.
Children usually require specialized surgeries to get artificial limbs which includes getting them prosthetic arms and legs, such operations are usually costly for underprivileged children hence the support the EMKA Foundation brings forward to help cover the costs involved for such services.
Since its inception in 2006, CoRSU Hospital has carried out more than 70,000 life-changing surgeries, with an average of 5,246 surgeries and 12,500 therapy sessions performed annually.
8 out of every 10 surgeries are for children, reaffirming CoRSU’s mission to ensure that no child is denied care because of cost no matter what their background is.
Apart from the EMKA Foundation, the CoRSU Walk 25 event has also received other generous corporate sponsors and partners that include: Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Fireworks Advertising, Bank of Uganda, Vivo Energy Uganda, Finn Church Aid, Rapid Advisory, Crown Beverages (Nivana), Nation Media, Uganda Development Corporation (UDC), Pride Bank, Bank of Uganda, The Great Outdoors, National Drug Authority, Humanity and Inclusion, Centenary Bank, Buganda Kingdom, UEDCL, Walimu, cbm and ABSA Bank.
We call upon each and everyone that can throw whatever support they can behind CoRSU and the work they do to always reach out to them directly via their official channels.
